Carrie’s Success Story

In 2017 at the age of 50 I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and I gained 40 lbs almost overnight.

I tried for years to lose the weight, the scale would yo-yo the same few pounds but I couldn’t find consistency.  As a former National athlete, playing competitive sports throughout my life, I’m was aware of the work it takes to be in your best shape.  But even with that knowledge, I was struggling. I finally decided that I needed to take a good look at what I was eating.  I realized that it didn’t matter how much exercise I was doing, the “healthy” eating habits I thought I had, I didn’t.  I knew that I needed to find a balance but I also realized that I needed help.  I needed to find someone that would encourage, support and educate me in the process.  I needed accountability.

At the time, I was working out at Orange Theory Fitness.  I spoke with a woman who was also training there. I had noticed a change in her, and I asked if she had achieved it outside of OTF or if she was doing anything else.  She told me that she had been working with Leah.

The first time that I signed up with Leah, I lost 16lbs in three months.  Leah and I talked about my goals, in depth conversations about food, nutrition, balance.  We talked about stress and its impact on the body and the importance of proper nutrition, exercise and self care.  When I started the 12 Week Challenge, I was at my highest weight of 222.8 lbs.

Last Summer I reconnected with Leah and I committed to a three month program.  Leah and I would talk on the phone, over zoom & we had a constant stream of text messages. Leah checked on me daily, often several times in a day if I needed a little extra support.

I now weigh 190.2 lbs a total weight loss of 32.6 lbs.  I have recently added strength training twice a week.  I have dropped from a size 14-16 to size 12 and I’ve lost count of the inches 😉

It’s been almost a year now that I’ve been on my ‘own.’  With Leah as your Coach, you’re never on your own.  I have continued to incorporate what I’ve learned from Leah and that is why I have and continue to be successful.

Working with Leah really made me understand that being healthy isn’t only about weight loss.  That you really can eat everything in moderation, enjoy life and be happy with yourself.

If you’re serious about losing some weight and committing to Leah and her program, there’s no doubt you’ll meet your goals!
